Serengeti is an iconic ecosystem, one of the last intact refuges for wildlife. To ensure the existence of this large and complex ecosystem requires the collaboration of a multitude of stakeholders with mutual respect for conservation.

Therefore we have founded the Serengeti Ecosystem Community Conservation Forum (SECCF). Our goals include collaboration in the following:

  • Information Exchanging: Through our online forum, we are pooling all of our resources and information together to more effectively manage and conserve the natural resources of the Serengeti ecosystem. We post everything from photos, wildlife research, community information, successful sustainable practices, and more.
  • Spatial Planning: Develop joint management and monitoring plans that consider the Serengeti as an ecosystem, and look beyond geopolitical boundaries.
  • Education: SECCF will help to promote awareness of ecosystem services to local communities, including conservation education and awareness raising.

Through maximizing cooperation, we aim to maintain this incredible piece of our planet so that future generations can appreciate it undiminished.
